On the morning of October 25, Professor Lv Yongkang, vice president of Taiyuan University of Technology (TYUT), conferred Professor Stephen May from the University of Auckland, Guest Professor of TYUT in the Conference Room 324 of Administrative Building on Yingze Campus. Professor Lawrence Jun Zhang from the University of Auckland, who is an emeritus professor of TYUT, and Liu Bing, Dean of College of Foreign Languages of TYUT were present at the inauguration.

During this annual visit of the national program of foreign experts that will last for a month, the two professors will give lectures and courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students, guide the career development of young teachers, and promote discussions regarding joint training of students between the two universities and international communication.
